 - an undisputed craft capital

Choiseul's history is rich with both French and Solomon Islands influences. Initially, the Choiseul District in St. Lucia was known as Anse Citron and later named after the French Foreign Minister, Étienne François, duc de Choiseul. In the Solomon Islands, Choiseul Island was named by a French explorer in 1768 after the same French dignitary, but Europeans had encountered the island earlier. The island's history also includes interactions with European whalers and traders, as well as conflict with neighboring islands, and later colonization by Germany and then Britain.

Soufriere

 - adventure & History

Soufrière, a town in Saint Lucia, boasts a rich history shaped by French colonization, agriculture, and natural disasters. Initially the island's capital under French rule, it later became a prominent agricultural center, known for its coffee, cocoa, and cotton plantations. The town's name, meaning "sulfur mine" in French, is a nod to the volcanic area and the Sulphur Springs. Despite facing hurricanes, fires, and earthquakes, Soufrière has been rebuilt and now thrives as a tourist destination, home to iconic landmarks like the Pitons and historical sites like Diamond Estate
